Cast Iron Skillet Cleaner Oversized 9"x9" Stainless Steel Chainmail Scrubber

5 out of 5 Stars

I purchased this to use on my cast iron. I was introduced to the chainmail scrubbers at a medieval event & knew right away I needed to get one or my own cast iron at home. I love the large design of this one and the smaller rings (maybe ¼”) make for a much more complete removal of smaller debris than the large ½” heavy duty ones I used at the event & now make. (I may have to get myself some smaller chain links & make myself some of this size too for my camp) Chainmail is the best way I have found to preserve the seasoning on a cast iron pan. I honestly will not ever use anything else

Features at a Glance:

  • SUPER STURDY CONSTRUCTION. Made of a sturdy stainless steel & feels good & durable in the hand

  • LOW MAINTENANCE.  Just rinse under warm water with little detergent OR Don't want to waste any time cleaning it after Heavy Duties? Just throw it in the dishwasher

  • GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. This chainmail removes even the nastiest crusted bits from your cast iron cookware without the use of soap or any other chemicals. Will last a lifetime like your cast iron
Pros:
This is an all-around necessity for any kitchen, cast iron or not. It also works great on glass or stainless steel pots. It’s rugged & great for heavy duty needs. Easy to keep clean Just rinse this puppy with some soap & water and hang to dry.. & its eco safe to boot…created with DURABLE RESTAURANT GRADE 316 stainless steel. Will not rust and will last years to come.

Cons:
About the only down side I see is that the is not usable on nonstick coated/Teflon pans.. But if you have a good cast iron pan.. Who needs Teflon.. Well-seasoned cast iron beats even the best Teflon hands down!!

In my opinion, this Cast Iron Skillet Cleaner Oversized 9"x9" Stainless Steel Chainmail Scrubber is an excellent product. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone who is looking new cast iron cleaner.  I would also like to note that I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review

Tips for using your cast iron scrubber

Wash the skillet by hand using hot water and the chainmail mesh.

Always avoid using the dishwasher, soap, or steel wool, as these may strip the pan's seasoning.

If you would like to use a cleaning agent with your scrubber, scrub the pan with a paste of coarse kosher salt and water
